Canto Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern the L.A.T. Apparel Canto platform, which includes both the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system and the Product Information Management (PIM) system.
By downloading, accessing, exporting, saving, sharing, or using any image, video, digital asset, product information, product data export, or other content (“Content”) from either system, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. For purposes of these Terms, “Content” includes product information managed in the PIM — including product descriptions, materials and fabric content, sizing and fit specifications, color offerings, style numbers, pricing where displayed, and any CSV, XLS, or other data export generated from the platform.
1. Authorized Use
All Content made available through the L.A.T. Apparel Canto DAM and PIM systems is the property of L.A.T. Apparel or is used under valid license and talent agreements. Downloaded or exported Content may only be used for approved business purposes that support the promotion, marketing, sale, or representation of L.A.T. Apparel products and brands.
2. Talent Usage Rights
The individuals appearing in L.A.T. Apparel Content (“Talent”) have granted L.A.T. Apparel the right to use their image, likeness, voice, name, biographical information, and performance for commercial purposes. By downloading Content, you acknowledge that these rights have been granted to L.A.T. Apparel and agree to use the Content only as authorized by L.A.T. Apparel.
3. Permitted Uses
Downloaded or exported Content may be used in connection with:
- Websites and online stores
- Product listings, product detail pages, and data feeds populated with L.A.T. Apparel product information
- Social media platforms
- Digital advertising and marketing campaigns
- Email marketing
- Product catalogs, line sheets, and sales materials
- Trade shows and events
- Retail and wholesale promotional materials
- Other L.A.T. Apparel-approved marketing and sales activities
4. Restrictions on Use
Users may not:
- Use Content in any unlawful, defamatory, misleading, discriminatory, or offensive manner.
- Alter Content in a way that misrepresents L.A.T. Apparel, its brands, products, or the Talent featured.
- Modify product information — including descriptions, fabric content, sizing, color names, or style numbers — in a way that is inaccurate, misleading, or inconsistent with the data published in the PIM.
- Sell, sublicense, transfer, or distribute Content, including exported product data files, to unaffiliated third parties without written authorization from L.A.T. Apparel.
- Use Content in connection with products, services, or brands not affiliated with L.A.T. Apparel.
- Remove watermarks, trademarks, copyright notices, or other proprietary markings where applicable.
5. Modifications and Repurposing
Images and video may be resized, cropped, or adapted for approved marketing purposes; however, users agree not to manipulate Content in a manner that could damage the reputation of L.A.T. Apparel or the individuals featured within the Content.
Product information exported from the PIM may be reformatted to fit your catalog, website, or data feed structure, provided the substance of the product data remains accurate and unaltered. L.A.T. Apparel product information is subject to change; users are responsible for keeping their published data current with the PIM.
6. No Ownership Rights
Downloading or exporting Content does not transfer ownership or intellectual property rights. All rights, title, and interest in the Content — including the product information, data compilations, and database structure maintained within the PIM — remain with L.A.T. Apparel and/or its licensors.
7. No Requirement for Talent Attribution
While credit may be provided at L.A.T. Apparel’s discretion, users acknowledge that Talent attribution is not required for approved uses of the Content.
8. Third-Party and Partner Distribution
Certain Content, including product data exports, may be shared with distributors, retailers, media partners, wholesalers, affiliates, and other business partners. Users are responsible for ensuring that any use of downloaded or exported Content remains consistent with these Terms & Conditions and L.A.T. Apparel brand standards.
9. Release and Limitation of Liability
By downloading, exporting, and using Content, you agree to release and hold harmless L.A.T. Apparel, its employees, affiliates, licensors, and representatives from any claims arising from your use or misuse of the Content. Product information is provided for reference and is subject to change without notice; L.A.T. Apparel does not warrant that exported product data will remain accurate or complete after the time of export.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By clicking “Download,” “Export,” or otherwise accessing Content within the L.A.T. Apparel Canto DAM or PIM, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not download, export, or use the Content.
L.A.T. Apparel reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time and may revoke access to Content for any user found to be in violation of these requirements.
